Dr. David Keith Q&A
QUESTION
Given Alberta has a huge coal resource, do you think coal gasification
helps the greenhouse gas vs mine development of tar sands oil?
ANSWER
Coal virtue is its price. Its downside is its high carbon emissions. If
we are to use coal to supply energy either for electricity or oilsands
we must do so with carbon capture.
