CNG and LNG – Alberta Natural Gas for Industrial Power Generation
Ferus Natural Gas Fuels Inc. is building LNG and CNG fueling infrastructure across Canada and the US to facilitate the adoption of natural gas as a cleaner, more competitive fuel to diesel in oil and gas, mining, marine, rail and trucking operations, as well as for remote power generation in industrial applications. They operate the first merchant LNG plant in Canada, in Elmworth, located close to high levels of O&G activity, which is currently fueling drilling rigs, pressure pumper s, frac-water heating applications, providing cost savings and back-up via “virtual pipeline” for pipeline outages. With Alberta and Federal Government priorities on diversifying the energy industry and reducing GHG emissions, the presentation will focus on natural gas fueled engines in on- and off-road applications to provide a new value-added market for Alberta’s natural gas.
