Gas Processing Association of Canada's ("GPAC") Outstanding Achievement Award ("Award") Screening Process
The following nomination process has been established for selection and award of GPAC's Achievement Award. The award will be made only through this nomination and selection process, which has been approved by the GPAC Board of Directors ("BOD").
General Guidelines
- No person may be self-nominated. No person can be awarded more than once. Potential candidates may be nominated by more than one person. However, this does not increase the likelihood of award.
- Nominations may be made by peers, by persons from the past membership, or by members GPAC.
- A formal Nomination must be made on the Award of Outstanding Achievement form two (2) months prior to the Annual General Meeting ("AGM"). Form is posted on the GPAC website.
- The BOD will review all nominations and will request additional information when necessary to complete information on potential recipients.
- A formal notice from GPAC will be sent to the nominating person, acknowledging receipt of the Nomination six (6) weeks prior to the AGM.
- The nominee will be sent formal notice from the GPAC notifying him/her about the nomination six (6) weeks prior to the AGM. There will also be a notice from the Association to be acknowledged by the nominee and returned four (4) weeks prior to the AGM. The reply will provide authorization for the GPAC to proceed with the screening process. It will also be a commitment from the nominee that, if selected for the Award, he/she will personally attend the ceremony to receive the award. If the nominee cannot be present, and if this notification is not signed and returned, the nominee will not be considered.
- Potential recipients and nominators are requested not to contact the GPAC for status reports or to promote the candidacy of any individual.
- A vote will be held by the BOD to determine the recipient three (3) weeks prior to the AGM.
- Recipient will be notified two (2) weeks prior to the AGM.
- All notifications can be made by email.
